A new zero-torque, lie-angle design in golf putters has taken the industry by storm, and there’s still time to include them in holiday catalogs based on availability, report Ryan DeGrand, Principal, and Andy Haemker, of Pro Am Golf of Brentwood, Mo., now celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Popular models they say include the LAB Golf Mezz. 1 putter and the TaylorMade Spider Tour X.
While the benefits remain somewhat debatable in the world of golfers, with some swearing by the technology and others skeptical, the new design aligns the shaft axis through the head’s center of gravity, so that the putter head resists the phenomenon of twisting (aka torque) during the stroke. This is believed to promote straighter, more consistent puts, especially for players who struggle with face control, according to Golfreviewsguide.com.
